Cambridge Partnerships has been busy attending and participating in numerous events as part of its ongoing commitment to continuous learning and development.
Linking Affordable Housing & Planning
On 9th October 2008, Inspire East hosted a Linking Affordable Housing & Planning event at Monks Barn, Harlow. On behalf of the Cambridge Challenge, Katrina Laud from Cambridgeshire Partnerships and John Cross from bpha, delivered a presentation entitled, “Delivering strategic growth – building thriving new communities.” To view this please click here. Feedback from the presentation and event was that it was a highly successful event. Daniel Durrant, Project Coordinator for Inspire East commented, “It was really useful to hear about some of the issues around delivering affordable housing. In your case it was useful to hear about the challenge of delivering both numbers and quality, particularly in the current climate.”
Affordable Housing Workshop
Katrina Laud and Rachel Underwood ran a joint presentation at the Affordable Housing Workshop on 15th October 2008 at Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford. Lewis Herbert, Programme Director – Planning Skills at Anglia Ruskin University said, “All attendees gained a lot from your presentations and the follow on discussion. The feedback was consistently good. Look forward to seeing affordable and wider housing being delivered as well as possible in the new climate.”
Cambridgeshire Horizons Growth Event
Cambridgeshire Partnerships attended a Cambridgeshire Horizons Growth event on 1st December 2008. The event was very positive in terms of looking at ways of delivering growth sites in a difficult economic climate.
